A compelling blend of unsurpassed location and legendary old-school hospitality, Athermi Suites invites you to experience Santorini at its purest and most overwhelming. Let the loving couple Maria and Kosmas welcome and pamper you at what is more than just a place to stay.
From the moment you first set your eyes on them, Athermi’s two charming junior suites promise a memorable stay, delivering on all counts at excellent value for money. Exuding tranquillity and comfort, the spacious and bright suites, situated on the pool level, are both elegant and homely; this is largely due to the owner, Kosmas, a skilled carpenter who has worked with great care and style to create unique pieces of furniture out of driftwood.
However, it is the traditional iron canopy bed that dominates the space, adding a touch of old school romance and nostalgia. A table and wicker chairs are available so that you may enjoy the stunning views over the volcano and caldera in pure comfort!
Recently renovated in 2015, the two cosy and inviting loft maisonettes are ideal starting points for the exploration of Santorini. A blend of tradition and contemporary elegance, the interiors bear the mark of Kosmas, the versatile owner who has a flair for carpentry. He has carved exceptional pieces of furniture from driftwood, thus creating a very welcoming and comfortable ambiance for guests who appreciate a bespoke sense of style.
Climb the charming staircase and discover the warmth of a beautiful vault loft that boasts a window with a unique sea view. Downstairs, the cosy living room features an embedded couch bed decorated with wooden pieces from old mills that exudes great style and comfort. After spending the day exploring the island, pampered guests may then relax with on their veranda while soaking up the stunning views of the Aegean, as the sun sets over the caldera and the small island of Aspronisi, or simply relax by Athermi Suite’s large and inviting pool.
Serenity oozes from every corner of these three refreshingly laid-back suites, which effortlessly shift between traditional style and contemporary sleek simplicity. Boasting a double bedroom, a cosy living room and an exclusive, private balcony, each suite invites you to rediscover your inner self, with a little help from the sweeping views of the Aegean.
The X-factor here is the sensational shower that faces a window with commanding views of the sunset over the volcano. This detail transforms this charming lodge into a place of pilgrimage for those in search of relaxation and romance in Santorini.
Boasting wonderful interiors, a sea view balcony and captivating views, this sanctuary of romance is ideal for newlyweds and couples in love. The suite’s highlight is its unique staircase -Kosmas, the owner gifted with an exceptional talent for carpentry, has created it himself using tree branches! The best is yet to come at the top of the stairs, where guests find themselves in the most fascinating nest-like loft, where the romantic effect is further enhanced by a window overlooking the infinite blue of the sea.
But the X-factor is the newly built Jacuzzi that merges the inside with the outside, as it is part of the bathroom but also opens up onto the private balcony through large windows, allowing for breathtaking views over the terrific volcano and the mesmerising caldera.
An attraction for travellers who want to experience Santorini’s dramatic landscape up close, this suite also offers an opportunity to indulge in relaxed pampering and admire local architecture with a modern twist. Wonderfully secluded, this gorgeous suite nestled in the steep caldera is all about escapism; it literally hangs over the sea, offering evocative views of the volcano and the island’s famous sunsets.

One of the nicest places we have even visited . If you are after luxury this is the place to visit
Rooms are amazing , food , drink , staff all 10/10 - magical . The views are second to none , location really good - pure luxury . We stayed in the cave suite and it is possibly the best room we have ever stayed in - unique
Eriona looked after us for the 5 days we stayed in the hotel and nothing was too much trouble - service with a smile
Not enough words to say how amazing the place is. The location is in a quiet part of the island which is great. The welcome from Maria was warm and friendly. The hotel is perfect in every way. The view is spectacular and the service throughout by Eliana and all was unbelievable. The chef cooked amazing food. Breakfast was delicious and made to order. The rooms comfortable and can’t wait to visit for what will be our 4th time
Wow, what a great place to stay. We had the private pool room. The pool water was cold but the views were stunning. The bathroom also had a jacuzzi which was nice! Comfortable beds and a nice shower. We ate at the restaurant twice and it was delicious. It’s a small hotel and the staff was great! Breakfast out on the deck looking at the caldera was amazing. Highly recommend this property. Far enough away from the touristy areas and crowds but east to get there if you want. 5 min walk to the beautiful village of Megalachori, which has some really nice restaurants. The views are phenomenal!
We have found that the Athermi suites is the best place to stay in Santorini because it has absolutely everything you would want for magnificent holiday.
We booked the spectacular villa room with indoor swimming pool and views from floor to ceiling of the Aegean Sea and volcanic mountains although every room after speaking to other guest also have amazing vistas as well.
The staff are absolutely outstanding, the service , the delicious food , the tour and local information help , all add up to an excellent holiday .
We also enjoyed their private dining experience at Sunset which was truly magical ( you will have to book for this one ).
So if you are looking for a place to really relax and enjoy a fabulous holiday Athermi Suites is a wonderful choice we will definitely be back .
location was close enough to everything but also far enough to still be peaceful and away from the busyness.
The waitress at the restaurant was so lovely and accomodating and really made the stay feel homely.
The food at the restaurant was amazing and the serving sizes were super generous (we struggled to finish our meals especially if we ordered a starter to share) . The sunset view with dinner is also stunning.
The breakfasts were far superior to ANY breakfasts I have ever had at a hotel before. The food was amazing, the view . . . absolutely breathtaking. Don't go to overcrowded Oia for the sunsets. Megalachorri is where it's at for a romantic sunset. Couldn't have been happier that this is where is spent the most nights on our vacation.
